I've always wanted a Warlock. I love'em. They look awesome, and I think they play awesome. There arguably isn't any guitar out there that's more "Metal" than the Warlock.

I'm not a good guitar player, and Hell if I can afford one of BC Rich's guitars from their Custom Shop. I want to get a model that is affordable and as close to the Custom Shop models as I can get. I got in contact with a music store in my area and they priced me a Caliber model at $1200. They also priced me an "NT" model at around $500-$600.

I have to have a tremolo and either a neck-through or 1-piece model, and I'm pretty set on the "Widow" head. I'm willing to budge on the head, but the rest of those must-haves are requirements.

Are these good guitars? Are they made with decent materials, and how is the quality?

Any opinions are welcome!

I don't do a lot of repairs anymore because they're a PITA but whenever a metal guy brought one over and asked me what it needed I'd always say "A gallon of gas and a match"

Not fond of 'em. Play as many as you can get yer hands on, be patient and picky and be cautious.

I'm definitely picky. What do I need to look for when you say, "be cautious?"
