What it is?

I'm trying to figure out how to integrate a MPC 2000xl into my current setup. I have a presonus firepod, and for some reason I thought i could just plug the MPC into the front side and the sounds that were generated from the MPC would pretty much translate str8 into Cubase. The MPC is set up as the slave to Cubase. For some reason when I go into Cubase and open a new project I can't get the sounds from the MPC to go across. As far as I know all the settings are correct. I've spent the better part of 2 days trying to figure it out with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not familiar with the mpc but how are you connecting? midi? if you're only connecting with midi, you have to also connect with audio.

are you trying to record audio or midi data?

Right now I have the MPC set up as the slave to Cubase, so for this I have midi in on the MPC to midi out on the back side of my presonus firepod. I have the main outs of the MPC into inputs 1 and 2 on the front side of the firepod.
