bassplaying with slide?..

Jello, everyone.


Yesterday I was trying to do some guitarplaying, and working on some bluesy stuff, trying to slide with some lighter, I decided I'd do myself a decent slide-tube at work today, I did, a bit longer than usual, so it'll fit a bass.
Someone said that Lemmy has used one and it works.

..I'll give it a shot.

There might be a RUMBLE at mp3-clinic about it shortly!!!!!!!!


Anyone tried it with bass here?..

I dug some out from the net and listened. Cool stuff, for that jazzy-rock vibe.

MAN!.. a cup of coffee and I'm gonna punish my Pignose amp with some sliding bass!!

Morphine is a kick ass band

There, I corrected it for you. Morphine is quite interesting, they're a 90s rock band with no guitars. And the bass player only has two strings. The melodies are played by a sax player, but this is no ska band. They're definitely worth a look. Errrr, listen.

Yes Morphine was the first thing that came to mind when I read the thread title. I haven't listened to their entire catalog, but of the few albums I've heard, I like Cure For Pain the best, especially the title track. Like Swimming got a little too fancy for their style IMO, although it has some great songs on it.

But the title track to Cure For Pain has some great slide bass in it, along with some great sax. Well, I guess that holds true for almost all of their songs
