Hi.
I am about to build some bass traps with dimensions 2' X 4'.
The material I have been looking at is
Rockwool RW3 1200x600x50mm - (60kg/m3).
I have read that this is a good material. I am wondering:
How thick ideally should a bass trap should be? 4" or 6"?
Are the (60kg/m3) boards dense enough for the job at 4" or 6"?
Does leaving a space in-between the wall and the trap increase the effectiveness?
Is cotton a good material for covering the bass traps?
Thanks for your ideas and help, Ste.
