Bass (line Level) presonus blue tube pre amp.

I bought a blue tube preamp, which states it's best not to be used for line level instruments...would it be a problem to record a bass track directly throught the preamp?
I'm using mbox and protools.

No, and no. The bass will be just fine. It is at "instrument" level. That's why you need to use the preamp to bring the signal up to line level.
