Bass drum mics

Hi everyone,

to keep it nice and short, i am interested in a kick drum mic that is real close to $150

maybe even $120?

or... if one exists.. $100..?

i dont need pro sound of course, but i want something decent. your thoughts?

akg d112 comes in at around $150 to $200.

duno about overheads,,but samson co2 pencil condensers aren't too bad and they're not dear either.

you could always get a shure beta-52. there are several on listed on ebay for less than $150.

Yeah, I was thinkin the 52 or the D112. Both are good kick mics with slightly different flavors.
As to OH's, check out a pair of Studio Projects B1's. They go for around $100 each and I've got some good results for a few years now. A little over your budget but some food for thought.
