i cant believ how hard it is to locate a band to try a few recording techniques on.. I am a musician myself (drums + guit.) yet i dont play in a band. I occasionally try my own stuff , but i just find it so hard doing everything... I have quite a decent studio , with some decent gear and what i am looking for is a band to do a demo for ...basically drums , guit. , bass , vocs...... But it seems so hard to locate a band , im not saying they have to be great either. I know this is totally the wrong place to start looking but i was wondering if anyone knew of a site for musos , somewhere i could post an ad... im sure theres a lot of young bands out there that would really appreciate a demo being recorded for them ... of course i would want some small fee for my time and investment , say about $50 US for 4 songs ... I know im probly selling myself (and the studio) way short , but i just dont feel i have the crudentials yet to charge anymore than that .. For this i would offer two cds... my recordings arent the greatest , dont get me wrong , considering im recording everything (drums , guit. , bass , vocs) i think i do alright ... But good enough to sell??? Any coments on this would be much appreciated ... cheers all...
