Bad news about Yamaha ns10's

Its good to hear that you and Gilligan finally got off the Island. You are going to have to shop the pawn shops. I got mine for 75.00. like new.:D

This was a place in KC, I got a roland spd20 from them 6 months ago for 20.00. They usually dont have any idea what they have.

But I picked one up at my local pawn shop the other day for 26 bucks! Those guys should be arrested they are so stupid!!!

It's not that I don't want to believe you darrin, but those are outragious prices!!! I doubt anyone would sell it to the shop if that was the turn around price! I mean, they would have to only pay the client, like, 10 cents!

Hell these guys had them with regular speakers, some 15" pioneers were 100.00 they just didnt know that they wernt typical speakers. There was also the fact that the store was in the part of town where alot of rock is sold.

If they were any good by today's standards, they'd still make them now wouldn't they? Food for thought while shopping around.....
 
Actually, there have been quite a few stories on this BBS of people finding the NS10's in pawn shops for cheeeeaaaap. Good find, Darrin. I wish I could run across a pair myself ;)

The trees that supplied the paper for the woofer cones are now on the endangered list so yamaha could not produce any more.

By the way they are by far the most popular monitor used in pro studios. They are that good.
