Well... if you recall I discovered the M-Audio Digipatch 12*6 doesn't support 20-bit Lightpipe signals... so I returned it to the store and re-did all my backups (that had passed thru the unit, truncating the signal to 16-bit)
Trouble is - I still need the routing flexibility for Lightpipe connections....
The Z*Sys Detangler will work but is overkill for what I need it to do - it does conversion as well and all I need is a router! (for $2000, it isn't worth it!)
The only remaining option so far is Hosa's unit. I've called them and talked to their engineers about the bit-size and all I can get from them is - "yeah, it *should* be fine!"
This doesn't sound certain enough -- I need TO KNOW for sure.... Any of you guys know, or know of a way to find out or if in fact the Hosa unit does support 24-bit or at least 20-bit?
