Hey people, been away for a month or so In America - Florida, New Jersey - New York etc, so I haven't been here for a while: But I finished the mix on Kids I was doing, so let me know your thoughts....

Listening now..

I dig the sound, but I don't like the panning. Get mostly clean drums and vocals on the left speaker and the rest of the stuff on the right.
Maybe those overdriven guitars could be panned more though. Nice vocals, can use more reverb. There are no dynamics in the hihat-part, makes it not really 'human'.
Cool tom-stuff during the solo. I love the guitarsound, and the overall feel of the track. Reminds me of a lot of bands I really like.

You are very creative, you know some Belgium bands? I'm not from Belgium, but you really sound a lot like bands like Deus etc.

I agree with F_cksia... Nice overall sound, but the panning's a little weird... even to a newbie like myself. I love that distorted guitar sound. I've been trying to get it like that for ages, what gear do you use?

I like playing with panning, especially if people use headphones to listen- you can really fuck peoples heads up! I'm glad you guys like it, personally I wish the harmonies were a little more in tune and a tad quieter, but this is only a pre production ;)

Panning wise, I simply Pan as I hear, shove the drums as they are set up:

Hi hats and snare to the right: splash to the right, move the toms, two to the right and two to the left and the ride to the left.

Vocals I panned slightly too and I can't remember what I did with everything else:

Ok for this I used:
A Behringer B1 Mic. (So cheap and good. Get one if you are on a budget) for vocals guitar and bass mic'ing and.

Guitar: Peavey EXP into a korg 1500 ax into a 50watt marshall combi.
Bass: Yamaha fretless (Customly done) into a big massive peavey amp

Drums: Fruity Loops using custom samples, mixed together with Adobe Audition: (Cool edit pro)

not expensive at all :)

Keep them coming and thanx for the feedback so far!

not bad at all. I cant hear the panning issues as I am listening on cheapie speakers about 8 inches apart, but it is overall a nice tune.

Cheers, from the feedback I'm guessing I did a decent job ;)

Last attempt for more posts! Any more comments, positive and negative (constructive) appreciated!
