I like playing with panning, especially if people use headphones to listen- you can really fuck peoples heads up! I'm glad you guys like it, personally I wish the harmonies were a little more in tune and a tad quieter, but this is only a pre production
Panning wise, I simply Pan as I hear, shove the drums as they are set up:
Hi hats and snare to the right: splash to the right, move the toms, two to the right and two to the left and the ride to the left.
Vocals I panned slightly too and I can't remember what I did with everything else:
Ok for this I used:
A Behringer B1 Mic. (So cheap and good. Get one if you are on a budget) for vocals guitar and bass mic'ing and.
Guitar: Peavey EXP into a korg 1500 ax into a 50watt marshall combi.
Bass: Yamaha fretless (Customly done) into a big massive peavey amp
Drums: Fruity Loops using custom samples, mixed together with Adobe Audition: (Cool edit pro)
not expensive at all
