I Know this crap must be asked before... I tried to check it on this forum but I found little. I recently grabbed a AXIOM 49... and I am trying to sync it to my common DAWs. Ableton 8 and Sonar 8.5 (LE) and FL studio 9. Why won't it line up?

I don't know how it works in Sonar, but in Cubase there is an external sync menu in which the given MIDI device has to be initialized before it will sync.

In trying to help you I looked for a Sonar 8 manual online but Cakewalk does not make one available for download. It is apparently on your install disk, so open it and search the PDF for "sync options" or "external sync" or "syncronization setup".

Just for reference, the sync menu in Cubase is in the Transport pull down menu and looks like this:

ClockOUT.JPG

In the above example, midi clock is being sent to the Motif (via the MIDI cable) and the Motif will have been set to sync externally to the incoming clock. The same must be done to your Axiom within it's own sync setup menu (if it has one).

Hope that helps.

Cheers :)
