awe 64 gold

I am only using my computer to run Jammer Pro, then transfer the tracks to my 488 mkII.
I would like to know how to download and use sound fonts .Also any thoughts on reducing the hiss produced by this(Jammer) program? All other sounds are pretty quiet. The awe 64 gold is way better than the original sound card that came with my computer but there was no manual.

Since Jammer Pro doesn't produce any sounds of its own you'll have to clarify what you mean by that "other sounds are pretty quiet" comment. Do you mean that MIDI playback is loaded with hiss and .wav playback is quiet?
On my Awe 32, the MIDI playback hiss was the same no matter what sound font was in use.

the card is really quiet when playing Cds and the fidelity is way better than my old card. It seems that as soon as I go into the Jammer Pro before any notes are being played, the hiss does get noticibly louder. I wonder if a stereo EQ between the computer and the Tascam would help?
