Here's a short one, Audix i5 on a Marshall 1960A cabinet with 2 Celestion Vintage 30's and 2 G12T-75's in an X pattern. Right side guitar is Vintage 30, left is G12T-75.

For this one, bass cab was mic'd with an MD 421.

Cool sounding stuff. On my monitors though, it sounds a little dull in the 2-5k range. This that's a pretty subjective thing though, and maybe you like it that way. Kind of gives it an old school 80's thrash guitar kind of sound..

I remixed the guitar, sounds awesome how it turned out...if you wanna hear tell me and ill post it somewhere

Absolutely!

amra, I agree. I blame it on my mic placement.

I used to record my acoustic guitars via DI box. Then I tried using my puny little acoustic guitar amplifier (Ibanez TA-20) mic'd using an SM57. It sounded much better than the "direct" path. Then I borrowed a friends Audix i5, and tried that. The improvement over the 57 was stunning. I got several compliments from people saying how great my tone was. I'm buying one now.
