Audition 1.0 and VST Plug-ins?

Maybe this should have gone in the Newbie section but...
Can VST Plug-ins be used with Adobe Audition 1.0 ?
I found some I'd like to try but don't even know how to install them.

Let me see if I can help. I’ve used VST plug ins on Audition 1.5

Under the effects menu there should be an add / remove VST directory. Click on that and then on the folder that has the plug ins. Once their downloaded the computer should tell you to refresh your effects.

VST support isn't built in to Audition 1.0.
You need a DX-VST wrapper plug-in to run VST plugs or upgrade to Audition 1.5.
