Audio interface for PT11

I'm looking at audio interfaces to work w PT 11. I really want the UA Apollo Twin, but it only has 2 mic pres, which is too limiting. The Foscurite Saffire 40 has 8 mic pres and gets decent reviews, although I've seen a lot that call its mic pres boring. Anyone have any suggestions on other audio interfaces? Can't spend over 800 and want atleast 4 inputs.

Several things come to mind, but only one in that price range. Most mid dollar units with great pres have only 2.
The Apollo Quad has four pres, but is three times the money.
MOTU's traveler mk3 has four pres, and for $150 more, the 896 mk3 has 8.
 
you could get the Audient iD22 and expand it later using the ADAT input, to having 8 more inputs.
