Hello. I am a newbie and I have a question. I would like to find easy audio editing software. I do a number of Skype interviews. I prefer something that is not a download. What middle priced software would work for editing podcast interviews? :)

What would you prefer? Buying a cd or something?

I can't speak for that but I know there are plenty of simple audio editing suites available online for free, or reasonable money.

Audacity is a simple editor that would probably be right up your street. Perhaps limited for music work but probably perfect for simple speech.
Reaper is a (good) bit more advanced and comes with great reputation and online community support. It's not too hard on the wallet either.

If you think you might branch into more complex audio sessions, go reaper.

Perhaps a friend could download and burn for you if internet connection isn't happening.

Why?

Unless you are on 1992 modems, Audacity is a short download at only 30mb and is safe to download.
It's more than you need and it's free.

I found a simple editor a few weeks ago that is lightweight and free. I have been playing around with it and can see that it may be a good starter. Has anyone else tested it?
