At4033 Or At4047?

Which would you chose, you a mid-lower mid male voice, and why?

I'd take the 4047 because it's more expensive and I could get more for it on ebay if I didn't like it.

Without trying both out on the voice, I couldn't venture a guess. I have both mics. The 4033 is a bit more hyped in the high end. The 4047 is a little darker and rounder sounding (maybe the iron in the output).

I tested both in a soundroom and chose the 4047, which definitely gives you a richer and more natural sound.

I agree with Track Rat's assessment of the 4033 vs. the 4047.

While it's always hard to recommend a mic for a signal that has not been heard - I find the 4047 tends to work for most vocal applications better than the 4033 - mainly because it is a little "warmer".
