"Well, now you know. And knowing is half the battle."
If you want to know why I always say... From The Sound Room only... Then read the last two paragraghs to "mutt" above (if you haven't already).
I'm telling you though... The reason why I'm costantly recommending Oktavas to be added to their list of considerations is because most who ask for a recommendation here have the key numbers of "$200-300US range" (for one) or "around $600-$800US" (for a stereo matched-pair), and maybe with key phrase "my first condenser mic", and maybe with "I won't be able to afford another for quite some time." in their question.
I'll recommend those brands I mentioned above (DPA, Manley, etc.) when they say they want to spend that kind of dough; I have yet seen anyone here who has said they want to though; myself included. I will though... And it's my Oktavas and other "budgetable mics" that will be on my clients' recordings to generate revenue to buy those caliber of mics.
Yes.. Peace to you as well.
And insert whatever you want into what's in those Oktava mics from The Sound Room ONLY!
