yes i did a search...... i read that the at pro 25 is a little noisier than the atm25, but i'm thinking gates might fix this..... anyhow i am thinking of getting an at pro 25, and i've read heaps on the atm25,.... basically i want to know if i should buy the at pro 25!

it works fine for what it does. I got mine for about 35.00 used and its not disapointed me yet.

I like mine for micing bass amps. I saw one new in Washington Music Center the other day for $69

thanks guys, the mic is on its way.....picked it up for $139aud which is about $75usd.... i usually get pissed off when i see u.s. prices because we never get anything that cheap over here even after conversion......it seems that even rode mics are cheaper to buy in the u.s. after conversion and rode is an aussie company!

didn't catch that one gidge, thanks, refermation of a purchase is always good news, the search was difficult to pull off since the engine doesn't recognise two letter words, so i had to do a broad sweep for kick mics and i must have missed that one.....anyhow the mic should be here in the next day or two....can't wait to have a play

I know this is supposed to be a kick drum mic, but I used it on guitar cab the other day on a high-pitched, distorted guitar solo, and it was great for the song. There was a lot more weight behind the notes (compared to an sm57), even when I was above the 12th fret on the high E string,
