I'm looking for a place online to buy leads for my setup, are RCA and Phono leads the same? I've only been able to find this http://www.emismusic.com/cables.htm so far, if my assumption is correct then I can get all my XLR and RCA leads from here. Thanks.

In an unbalanced world, they can use the same type of cable. The difference would be the type of connector they're terminated in. The RCA obviously is terminated in RCA connectors, the phonos are terminated in 1/4" connectors.

I'm a bit confused...Are RCA and Phono leads the same thing? Thanks

If by lead you're refering to connectors, no, they're very much different. If yo're refering to the CABLE, as I said they both use unbalanced coaxial type of cable in that there would be a stranded center conductor surrounded by a shield. Tip and shield.

Trackrat, I think you are wrong there. 1/4" plugs are sometimes called "phone plugs" in the US because phone switchboards used them, but "phono plugs" are the plugs used in standard consumer phonographs (and tape decks, CD players, etc.) to connect them to a receiver/amplifier. In the US they are called RCA plugs to avoid any confusion between "phone" and "phono," but in Britain I don't think that term is used. At least, if I'm remembering what I once read about the issue...

Here's some info (boy, it's hard to find stuff on this collected into one place, strangely enough):

http://www.rane.com/par-c.html#connectors

Look up phone jack and phono jack in there too.

Ok... Done the reading, that's good enough for me! I'll be buying the 1/4" Jack to Phono Leads from that site, 4 of them for my soundcard > mixer connections then I'm sorted! Phew, I think that's it! Thanks guys.
