My next "fun purchase" is going to be the Godin Glissanter - 11-string fretless nylon-string.... plays unbelievably well and the sound is very cool.... not too pricey either - 'bout a grand Cdn....!
) is a Big Apple Strat. (The current model - exactly the same - is the American Double Fat Strat: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7...98302324/search/g=guitar/detail/base_id/44513 )

One other thing - I have yet to meet a guitar that didn't play better once I got it home and set it up myself. Both those strats I mentioned in the last post played pretty poorly at the store. (The Big Apple played ok, actually, but the Hendrix model played like crap - which probably explains why it was sitting there marked down 70% off retail.)
And I do think you just need to find the right one. Even with PRS's and other guitars that supposedly "are all great."
If you want a $2000 strat, check out Callaham, but be prepared to wait about 2 years.![]()
