. I have a problem with my computer where I can't put on more then 5 effects without it screwing up the song. Is there a way that I can put an effect on a channel, and make it so that its applied permanently?? I use Cubase5, and N-track.

and

are compressor's worth buying offa ebay? heh. I'm not sure, but I need one.

If you are using DX effects, in N-Track, click Edit, go down to Apply Track Effects/Envelopes, click off what you want to apply and where you want to apply it to....make sure you click the more options and check off allow undo.....

yo gidge

so if I put apply envelopes on, or whatever, and then apply effects, then turn it off, along with the effects, they'll be taken into effect?

Not sure what that last one is asking....you just simply apply the effect as you normally would, do the steps I posted, and it will be applied to the wave...you can then pull the dx effect off....

make FX the last thing you do, if you're going to print them

do yourself a favor. before you start adding FX to anything, save your work to CD. that way if you hump it up, you can start over.

once you print that compression, you can't take it back off later.

RE: compressors on eBay

Get a RNC compressor. Be it on eBay, or whatever.

Of note:
There is one on eBay now for $175 with BuyItNow for $180. The seller is selling it on their retail website for $174.50 with same shipping charges. Go figure.
