Can anybody clarify this for me? I know I should track & mix at the highest possible resolution. Apogee suggests useing. their "UV22" on the last step (when going to 16bit for a CD). My question is this: How do you bring your 24bit signal to 16bit with UV22 when the Rosetta only has analog inputs? How do you get your nice 24bit signal in there to do that. I know I'm missing something. Thanks in advance for any clarifacation.

if you were mastering to dat tape you could send the dithered digital signal from the spdif or aes ebu outputs of the rosetta to your dat machine. how you get the 24bit digital signal to the rosetta depends on your soundcard. does it have spdif adat or aesebu outs? if so ,you're in business, all in the digital domain. if not ,and you only have analog outs, it might be better to use plugs in the puter to dither rather than go thru another ad conversion.
