Just wondering if anyone has this comination, and if the results are worth the investment?

No problems to speak of with Sonar. Will it run in WaveLab as well , with no complications? The only reason I ask is because Wave Lab is VST , and Sonar is Direct X ? Thanks for your help Laptoppop !

I thought that with the new version of the software it would run stable as either VST and DX. No problems there (from what I've heard)... :)

Suuwweeeeeeeeeet !!! Hopefully that is going to be the next purcahse.

Does that mean the process delay thing has been sorted out, or do we still need to compensate?
I too drool.:)

Sorry ,but just to clarify. Can I use this card in Sonar , export the audio, and open the wav. in Wavelab and use the same plug-ins to master and not have any problems ? Also what is this process delay thing ?

Yes. :)

Hopefully... this is computers. You never know.

I understood that in most plugs, the lag caused by the process is compensated, so the befor/after signals are still in similar sync, and with the UAD's you had to move them manually.(?)
Thanks

Regarding delay compensation -- before UAD did the directX implementation, you had to do it manually in Sonar. Bit of a pain.

Now, however, the UAD works using directx too -- and delay compensation is all automatic. Life is sweeeet!

How much for one of those babys in the States?

They cost an arm and a leg in Norway...

I've been watching the UAD-1's on e-bay and they are going for about $500. That price is really tempting me to go this route.
