Does NTrack take advantage of a second CPU if you are running lots of tracks with lots of plugins?

Thanks,

I'm running a dual PC machine, but not NTrack. I can tell you that even if NTrack does not utilize dual processors, you will still notice a gain in PC power if your OS supports dual processors. You must be running Win 2000, NT, or XP in order to see those benifits. The PC will then be able to run the OS, disk management, etc. ("normal tasks") seperately from NTrack. Also other seperate threads can be multitasked such as direct x plugs or VST plugs. I had a dual processor board with one processor on it and later added the second. I'm using SAWPlus32 which does not support dual processors, yet I still noticed a large speed gain when the 2nd processor was installed.

Thanks

Thanks for the input - you raise some good points. It does seem logical that even if n-track doesn't directly support dual processors, it could still run better on such a machine.

I'm using duals with ntrack. Works great. The load seems to balance pretty evenly between the 2 procs.
