I do not own a D10 but I've used one over the years...
The sounds are a bit dated - But, I feel that the sounds are adequate if you're just starting to work with your setup... As for a controller keyboard, I think there are others that would give you more versatility... But, if you're using a software sequencer for your setup, just about any keyboard with a "playing" feel that you like would be appropriate...
