Any Roland drum user's out there?Have you had a chance to use the V-stage series?
Whatca think?
My drummer is seriously thinking on spending the coin and thought I'd ask around and see what ya thought.
It would sure beat miking all those tubs and mixing them down all the time.
Any help would be great

ALthought i've never owed one of them. What do you want to know about them?

I haven't recorded one personally, but i've heard quite a few songs were people have used them and they sound great.

Check this out he's used V-Drums in this. Not sure if its the Stage series or not, you'd have to ask him.

Basiclly he wanted to know how they "felt".We record somtimes with his Roland TD-5 e-kit and he complains that they don't feel real enough.
We were looking around and heard about the mesh heads they have now.

I'm a purist, and to me they will NEVER become 'real'.

The sounds are amazing now, the hi hat is the only thing lacking in my opinion, but give them time :D

Yea,he'd really rather play his acoustic set but sound limitations can get in the way.Plus it makes recording him a little more time consuming.
Thaks for the input though.
