anyone know reel to reel?

i m looking into getting a reel to reel recorder, but don t know which one to pick up... 8 tracks would be nice. anyone know anything about the fostex reel to reel 8 track? any hints, tips, or suggestions you could throw my way would be sweet! thanks.
