Anyone know how good this mic is?

I found several of these hiding in a brief case and wondered if they are comparable to anything. What would they be good to record? Omnifex OM658 Dynamic 500 Ohm

They are low impedence...probubly a rebadged something else.

iirc... omnifex made generic shit that you could rebadge yourself so the store could have a housebrand...

Ok, here's the pic. Yea, they didn't sound so good when I plugged them in and compared them to some other mics. I think they might be ok on cymbals because they lack the low end.

You might be able to keep the shells and replace the guts with better stuff. They look hearty enough for stage use. Or just walk away before you end up with a $1K DIY SM57.
