I recently saw one on craigslist for $25. I'd like an afforadable practice amp but I'd also like a decent one as well. I can definitely pay more for $25 ($75-$150) for an amp but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Multivox M66.

That aside, any recommendations for the 75-150 practice amp price range?

Here's a list of what Sweetwater has in the $50 - $100 range, and there are a few capable practice amps in there.

I've played the Line6 Spider 15-watt, and it's not bad for the price. Those little Vox practice amps aren't bad either, although they're not that versatile (although I see that they include modelling/effects, which helps a lot). The Fender Mustang has USB connectivity which is kind of cool, and the Peavey Vyper sounds OK as a metal amp (I've only heard the bigger ones in the series though).

No experience with the amp... but really, at $25, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Judging from pics I saw of it, it's probably got a 12" speaker- 'round here, run-of-the-mill Fender, Pevey, etc. 15-watt practice amps sell, used, for $40 or so, and they all have the same made-in-China amp chassis and a dinky little 8-inch speaker. That MV amp has a 12" (from the looks of it,) is is made in the USA.

Heck, if you have not already bought it, it is probably already GONE! Next time, don't over think it.
