one of the things i never understood about peavey's is that they run multiple ground planes.... ie: if you pull the board up and look at it you'll notice that the grounds on the board aren't neccessarily run together.. they only tie together when mounted in the chasis through the stand-offs they're mounted on... make sense???? so if your working on one and you pull the board up you have to use alligatorclip jumpers to tie them together... well what that means for you is that sometimes grounding and interference issuses can be as simple as tightening the board down... at least that's where i would start... good luck...
