Hey analoggers, I'm sadly going to part ways with my Audio Technica AT-RMX64 cassette 4-track, and I was wondering if anyone here was interested before I list it. In case you're not familiar with the unit, it's about the most robust 4-track cassette ever made. And at 50 lbs (no joke), it has to be the heaviest. The features on this thing are too many to list from my phone here.
Anyway, aside from a buzzy 1/4" jack on channel 1, the mixer section works perfectly. This was hardly a big deal to me, because this thing has so many inputs. (It even has phantom power!)
The tape transport, though, has some issues. RW doesn't work (usually), and there seems to be a bit of warlble when playing back a recording. I was originally planning on fixing it, but I just have too many other fix-it projects on my desk. So I've decided to sell this one and just get a newer unit that's less likely to have issues.
I paid $65 for this locally, so I'll offer it up at that if anyone is local to me. I have the original box and packaging too, so I could ship it if you wanted to pay for that. (Did I mention it's 50 pounds?)
Anyway, if interested, respond or send me a PM.
Thanks!
Chad
