anyone have the behringer B1?

a studio projects b1 seems like a MUCH favored mic, and alot of people on this board use it and like... and its like 80 dollars.

people have different views most of the reviews i read were....and they almost seemed a little too good and i've kinda noticed that anything under $150 gets bashed here so i read what yall hate about it and then i make a decision. its not like i ignore everything yall say...i just want your opinion too

Here's a review/opinion from a few weeks back.

...Along with a good number of budget large condensers, we also tried the Behringer B1 on various sources such as vocals, amps, drum OH and acoustic guitar. In almost all cases the five or six engineers present at the sessions made various funny faces denoting non-pleasure with the sonic results of the B1. Some of the descriptions noted by the engineers included "cheap-sounding", "thin", "tinny", "shitty", "really bad" and "sounds like a good mic to record a mosquito".

I'm sure it has its uses in some situations - maybe it will be useful for you. If not, you've got a case and a shockmount and you can buy another mic.
