Hey y'all! i'm just starting my music "career/hobby" or what have you and i am looking at a yamaha cs2x. I'm way into trance, melodic trance and electro pop stuff. I love the sounds of lead synths that just make your song sound, mmmmm excelente!, and i love delayed pianos.....and warm lush strings.....please, add your opinion of the cs2x...or whatever other synth of reasonble price (not over $800 please! I am also very close to either getting a CS2X or a JP8080 for trance hard edged lead sounds a phat basses.
I think that yamaha products have a nice sharp sound and from what Iv heard of the demo Iv had of the CS2X it has a very good trance techno edge to it.
I have a JV1080 and love the sounds but when it comes to the
resonance and cuttoff the CS2X wins over and over again.
You see the JV1080 was a allrounder and then they gave it a techno board but the module itself just wasnt designed for techno. But the JP8080 does have some very raw analog sounds. If I had enougth money I would buy both and think they would work together very well.
The reason Im comparing Roland to Yamaha is that I sold a Yamaha TG300 for upgrade to a JV1080 but till this day I still say that the TG300 had a techno trance edge to over the JV1080 as when I play a old peice of music Iv done on the TG300 people I dont even know say it sounds better that what Iv made on the JV1080 + techno board?
