I have a 1991 Gibson M3 custom shop edition with an upsidedown headstock..24 frets..anyone know what it might be worth today? Thanks:D

$400-$500 best I can tell. Not popular or collectible.

Gibson made a bunch of forgettable stuff over the years trying to break into different niches. None of them have achieved any kind of status although a few were decent players.

On further reading my original guess may be a bit low but the key will be finding the right buyer. There are some collectors out there and having Gibson on the headstock still demands a bit of a premium. A lot will depend on the model specs (they made a few) and condition.

Are you looking to sell this piece? What did you expect to get?

I don't think I would go more than $750 but it's not really my cuppa - I probably wouldn't bid at all. If I was looking for a Superstrat I'd buy an Ibanez.

No i`ll never sell it..lots of memories 4 bands...and lots of fun times..I was just curious because it has BALLZ and the playability is unbelievable! Every guitar junkie I show it to wants to buy it so I thought it would be worth knowing what it was worth. Thanks for the reply!!:D

Do a google on it. They get mentioned on a bunch of guitar sites. One came up on Craigslist here about a year or so ago along with a Nighthawk and I did a little research at the time and decided against either of them (the Nighthawk was pretty intriguing). I had forgotten most of what I learned back then and your post prompted me to look 'em up again.

Glad you like yours - most of the people who own 'em seem to. It will likely be worth a fair amount more when you pass it on to yer kids.
