I havent gotten them yet but Im actually wanting to get them at least get an amp that is 150 watts to push them. I would go less than 100 watts. But i asked a similar question just a few days ago about an amp and I was told ne amp would work just dont over do it.
Not if he buys a nice amp now and so he could use it later on with other nice passives such as the Dyn BM15.
I am always advising against active monitors, but that's just my opinion.
In my mind, buying a good amp is nice so you can swap speakers anytime you want and never loose the entire initial investment.
I use the smaller 6 1/2 inch 2030P's from Behringer. They are very good.
I currently run them off a Samson Servo170 power amp.
However I'm thinking of purchasing the matching Behringer A500 power amp instead.
It's rated at 2 x 230 watts into 4 ohms or 500 bridged at 8 ohms.
Like the Samson amps, it is also "reference class" and fanless for zero noise!
Finally got a chance to test mines out. Had to make a few adjustments on my amp to get them how i wanted them but other than that they are good to go. I just need to get me some stands for mines. Nebody using stands with theirs if so which stands u using that will hold these big babies up?
