It is too bad that we don't see talant like this posted as a thread in these forums on a regular basis, as I am sure there are many guys in their mid 20's who still live at home and haven't been laid yet, that frequent these message boards!! :D
Yes, but they need to pick up thier instrument instead of sitting in front of the computer.

Anyone know Justin King? He's an acoustical guitar player who does a similar thing (but more his own thing).

This guy is amazing. The only thing he suffers from is a high level of talent.

I've seen stanley jordan's Monreax performance with his trio. hes really amazing at what he does...i guess im a truer fan of traditional guitar playing, but i appreciate anyone who can gain a high level of accomplishment...this guy is great, but its been done before.

anyone heard of Kaki King? she's a pretty popular tapping guitarist in her own right...she's been on Conan O'Brien a few times...has her own website...unlike this guy, she composes original pieces using her own style...i appreciate her work as well...

I like her a LOT, but her best stuff has no tapping in it at all. Her tapping style is not even kind of her own (as she would tell you, she stole it ALL from Preston Reed, who has given her some lessons - one hopes she doesn't end up with the same hand problems he has). She does the tapping stuff on TV because it looks cool, but listen to her albums and that is a small percentage of her stuff. Most of her stuff is very melodic, with some cool harmonic complexity, and played in a more traditional fingerstyle. Nice compositions, but her tapping stuff just sounds like a wanna be Preston Reed.

Nothing wrong with that, by the way, she's like 20, so I don't really expect her to have come up with her own mature style yet. She is someone who will certainly get there.

I bet he used to play piano. I mean, it's just like playing piano on a guitar-neck. Perhaps he can't pick a string! :p Ok, most probably he can. But I like guitar-music because of the guitar-temper. It will always sound "untypically guitar" and therefore "icredible" to play piano (or whatever) tunes on a guitar.

By the way quite some of the great guitar-technicians (like eddie vH) started as piano-players.

the more i listen to it, the less interesting I find it. isn't that the way it shouldn't be? :)
