Does anybody know anything about this guitar. Like when it was produced, how much it sold for etc..?
I bought it about 5 years ago second hand for about £400 ($600). I was told at the time it was originally from Japan, and it's RRP was originally over £1000 ($1200). I've seen it mentioned in a guitar mag when someone was asking about an old RGZ, and the RRP was confirmed.
It's got 2 single pickups and a humbucker, with a 5 way selecter switch and a tone and volume knob. The pickups are active pickups - they have "Yamaha H.I.P.S" on them, and the there are two switches and a tone knob for to control the active side of them. It's all black with an ebony fingerboard, and pearl inlays. It's also got a floyd rose trem.
I'd love to find out more about it - just get it's specs. If anyone knows anything about it, then post what you know!
