Any Vocalist Interested Laying Down The Vocal For Louie Louie

This forum seemed like the most appropriate for a collaboration effort.

I am currently doing a grunge type version of Louie Louie and if anyone wants to sing the vocal, please PM or otherwise contact me. I will email you the vocal-less mp3 and then you can email it back with the vocals. I listened to the Kingsmen version and think the "me" is actually "we" but I have come up with the lyrics that seem pretty close to their version.

Here is a few seconds...

Chorus:

A-Louie Louie, oh no I said we gotta go
Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya, I said
A-Louie Louie, oh baby I said we gotta go

Verse 1:

A fine little girl was waiting for me
To catch a ship across the sea
We sail that ship about, all alone
We never think how I'll make it home

Chorus:

A-Louie Louie, no, no, no, no I said we gotta go
Oh no, I said
A-Louie Louie, oh baby I said we gotta go

Verse 2:

Three nights and days I sail the sea
Think of girl, oh constantly
And on that ship, I dream she's there
I smell the rose ah in her hair.

Chorus:

A-Louie Louie, oh no, I said we gotta go
Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya, I said
A-Louie Louie, oh baby I said we gotta go

Okay, let's give it to 'em, right now!

GUITAR SOLO

Verse 3:

We see...(pause 2 measures then resume - singer jumped in too soon)

We see Jamaica, the moon above
It won't be long, me see me love
To take her in my arms again
I'll tell her I'll never leave again

Chorus:

A-Louie Louie, oh no I said we gotta go
Ya, ya, ya, ya, ya, I said
A-Louie Louie, oh baby I said we gotta go
I said we gotta go now

Let's take it on outa here now

Let's go!

If you ever want a Johnny Cash or Mark Lanagan version, let me know. :D Nice idea. Ive heard it done that way (grunge) a few times.

I'd do it. I sound kinda like Lemmy meets Les Claypool, so it might not fit this, but I'd sure give it a shot, for fun. :D Just let me know. Here's what I sound like.... :D
Nightmare
It's a pretty goofy song, originating from a thread in the Cave. Gives you some Idea of where my voice is.

Thanks for the offer BigRay.

Ed, you are da man! :) Thanks for the interest. I updated the mp3 above if you want to download it and add some vocals and then maybe post it up at your site so I can then download it. Or if you want to use emails that would be great too.

Remember the first chorus starts right up when the snare drum roll ends and the bass comes in. Also, Verse 3 comes in at about the 2:00 minute mark. I included the 2 extra measures after the solo like the original.

Again, if you have time to do it, that would be great and I can then make a banner with "Guest Vocals By Ed" (or whatever you want) on my webpage.
