Haven't found a price, but

based on their other models, and that this seems a step up, if I were a guessing man (and I am), I'd guess around $650, give or take.

Well I think $650 would be a really good deal. I would plan on having to replace the pickups at that price. I'd rather pay $800 for one with decent pickups.
I have a HB30 with a couple Dimarzio Air pickups on it. The pickups cost as much as the guitar and it has to be one of my favorite general purpose axes. Such a great amplified acoustic sound. The thicker body and solid top would be that much better.

Never heard of Airs

are they specifically for hollow bodies?

Or is Michael Jordan making pickups now? :D

I called Washburn about it. They said the only ones around at this point in time are a couple of prototypes.
They said they might have something in the first half of May.
I'm torn in between a rock and hard place I was planning on getting the Carvin NS1 but this J7 looks really sweet at maybe close to half the price of the Carvin.
I think I'm gonna just go ahead and plop down my 10% deposit and get on the 10-12 week waiting list for the Carvin. I can always pickup the J7 when it becomes available. I've only got two nylon string guitars right way but then again I only have one electric hollow body. Out of around 20 guitars those are pretty small numbers.

So, did they give you a clue as to what street pricing might be for the Washburn?

No I didn't ask them about a price I figured the guy I talked would have no ideal what retalilers would be selling them for. He did mention it having a Bibsby tail piece. It looks like that style but I'm not sure it is the real deal.
