Anxiety - Work In Progress

Here's a new one I've been working on the past few days. It's pretty complete as far as structure goes. I'm maily concerned about the mix. I can't help but feel that it's too bassy. Maybe it's just me. I don't know. Also, there isn't any vocals yet because I still haven't found a decent microphone for my tight budget.

only got earbuds in so cant comment on the mix....doesnt seem bassy on them but they cut out a lot of bass anyway....sound great, nice playing, initial levels seem fine too....just needs vocals


have you tried an mxl67g? great for the price

Hey, thanks for checking it out! I appreciate it. I really like how this song came together so fast. I'm going to come back and listen to it a bit later and see if it still seems bassy to me. Maybe I just need to step away and hear it with fresh ears. And that mic looks good. I may end up getting that one. I like what I've read about it.

I have a fairly decent sound setup for listening. Actually, the guitars and bass sound great, but the drums sound wimpy and hidden. I can bairly hear the kick and the snare. The cymbals also are very shy. It may just be my taste, but for this type of song, I'd like to feel the kick and have some thump on the snare.
