Hello,

I know this subject has been brought up about a million times... I have to go ahead and make it a million and 1.

I'm looking for an all tube amp for under $1200.00. I do not play in a band and will very rarely crank it up to experience it's built in distortion. I play in my room at low to moderate levels. I prefer the cleanest sound I can get. If the amp had a built in effects loop that would be a definate plus (actually, almost a requirement). My preference would be a combo in either 1X12 or 2x12 configuration. I currently have a 1962 Fender Princeton and although this amp fits the bill I just cannot be playing it all the time (which I don't).

I'm currently looking at some of the new Fenders. I'm also going to be taking a trip over to the Carvin showroom this week and try out a couple of their Vintage series amps. I'm also hearing good things about the new Traynors. I'm not looking for the most boutique of boutique's. Just a solid, clean, chimey tube amp that has a quality build.

Thanks
Easto

Go for the traynor, they come in 20, 40, and 80 watt models, theres also a 50 watt model but that has more distortion, which doesnt seem to be to your taste. They have all the features you could need, and for 1200 you could get 3 of them :p .
