Another tune to critique

Again, need to re-do vocals.....find a drummer, just seeing if anything will stick to this.................thanks in advance Jay Williams :D

BTW....the lack of guitar work is due to : still trying to get the feeling back in my fingers since the re-attachment of a couple of didgits in a work related accident.

Has a nice feeling.....vocals are very effective. Nice sound on them, and they fill up a nice spot in the tune. I'd say it's easily worth keeping, and continuing to work on. Nice tune man...
 
Very cool country voice. Nice harmonies! Great mix also! I like everything about this. This is definitely one of the better home-recorded country songs I've ever heard. One thing I might suggest is to cut back on the reverb on everything...it kinda makes it sound like someone is holding the sustain pedal down on a piano for too long, and things blend together just a tad too long. Other than that, GREAT job. :cool:
 
Thanks....after listening when my ears healed a bit....I did notice to much verb! Funny how hours of mixing screws your perception of things!!!
 
At least it's not a (insert your least favorite type of music here) song :D .

Drummer would help a lot but only cause that hi hat is so annoying :D .

You're my sun that always shines - one of several great lines in this tune.....

Great songwriting jpw, and the keyboard playing is very nice. Vocals remind me of several great country artists - you are blessed with a great voice sir...

Reverb didn't bother me on this - thought it was good for the vocals.

Enjoyed this %$#*& country tune :D :) :D :) :D
 
Thanks..........your input is always welcome and appreciated!!!! Gotta find a drummer.....high hat does suck on this but, it was the only pattern I liked!!!
 
Hey Jay....You have a great voice, my friend. I didn't check it out at first because I don't like most country. But my girlfriend made me listen because she loves country. We both love this and really dig your voice.

Rami on drums would really be cool.....this is a very good tune, and I can't wait to see how this turns out......Extremely nice, I'm sure.... :cool:
 
I enjoyed this. Nice song, great voice. take a listen to the drums on any of my tracks... they are loops from "Drums on Demand"
