Listened to ver.2 - The guitars sound bigger and better. I'm a drum dumbass, but they're not bugging me...it's like you kind of have to make a choice; you can either have big drums and big guitars, or big guitars and big vocals, or even big vox and big drums, but you just can't have it all, eh? Personally, I always side in favor of guitars and vocals, so I think the mix coming along nicely.
Man, I hardly ever do this, but I'm gonna' come right out and say that the singer needs to stick to singing. Can you get a guy to do the screams?...preferably through a bullhorn or something? The idea is so cool that the screams HAVE to stay, but the screamer needs to be more pissed off; and sound more like a 5 pack a day smoker who's been turning tricks for about a decade to support her crack habit. THAT'S the sound, lol.
Seriously, maybe I'm the only one, but the "screams" are so tame to my ears that it just drags the tune down...can YOU scream? You're a guy, right? SCREAM IT!!!
Alternatively, I think you might try going in the other direction on the FX on her screams...with them all dry, they just stick out more to me, and you already know how I feel about her screaming, right? LOL...seriously, in that department, I think the first version was cooler. I'd add chorus and maybe a flange and a vocoder and a lo fi vinyl/bullhorn thing and about a week and a half of delay and just mangle the screams so freaking much with FX that you can't even tell it's a human doing it...
or you scream it, lol.
All nits aside; I gotta' agree with Jamal...(it's like a law or something)...you've come a long way.
