Guys, thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it.
Greg_L - I'll have another look at that kick. The piano thing does poke out but I'm reasonably comfortable with that (today anyway). Thanks for checking it out
ksounds - Yeah Ray nailed it. You know what, I haven't heard that AON tune in probably 25 years, and now I think that's where the Hey's come from. I had a feeling I didn't come up with that by myself dammit. Thanks for that clarification
mattdee1 - Intense = good. Thanks for the listen
VomitHatSteve - I didn't intentionally go for amelodic, it just sort of evolved that way. I think maybe the background synths are clouding it up a bit. I do like the percussive aspects of non-percussive instruments. Cheers Vomit...um..Steve
joeym - Appreciate the kind words, thanks Joey
Llarion - Thanks for the listen Llarion. Yeah, other than a kernel concept like 'aggressive' or 'slithery', it's all pretty haphazard. The tunes I do don't really have any grand plan. And as for lyrics, well fugettaboudit...
dodgeaspen - Heh, thanks man!
bassdweller - Thanks for the spin. Well I was sprung on the Art of Noise, but I don't play shooter games anymore so I should be pretty safe there. Unless it was Doom...but that's too long ago surely
rayc - Yep you busted me on the AON. That was actually completely unconscious, but you're absolutely right. Even when ksounds mentioned it, I didn't have a clue where it came from. Too many heys? When you're lyrically challenged like me it's hard to know when to say when. Cheers Ray
kcearl - Yeah maybe I relying on the piano to carry the melody, probably too much to expect. Thanks man
