While window shopping for under saddle pickups, to replace the one in my Epiphone PR350-12E, it occured to me that "maybe just changing the battery will fix the cutting out problem." I can't say that this is my first acoustic/electric guitar, as my Johnson JG-622-E acoustic/electric bass also has an active EQ, but I'm guessing it's got an Energizer battery in it 'cause it's not given me any problems, over the two years I've owned it.
When I get a chance, I'll buy a pack of 9V batteries, and change the batteries in both acoustic/electrics. In the case of the bass, I'll call that "preventative maintenance." As to the 12-string...that'd be an "oops...didn't think about that." I'm only slightly embarrassed, though.
