Bob has one wonderful book!

I have to say that while I have read parts of it, never have been able to read it all the way through... but if something comes up in studio its the first thing that I turn to for sure!

Lee glad you managed to learn something from the man.

myself I am very firm in the concept of hearing what others have to say!

it was until I found this forum and read as much as my brain could handle in one summer that my recordings started to sound better....

as far as this thread goes it should not be a flame war at all....

rather a way for people to talk through this amazing thing called "Recorded Sound"

I would have killed to be in your shoes that day. Seriously. I read his book and it really helped me grasp the importance of mastering, and even more, the importance of getting a good mix before mastering. I used to always think the shitty parts of my mixes would just get fixed when i'd get my projects mastered. Not the case. God, what an experiece that must have been for you Lee. I am also 22 and could never imagine meeting a genius of such caliber.
