I did a forum search for amplitube and didn't feel like searching through 11 pages of threads to see if this question has been answered already, so I apologize if the subject has been brought up before...
Let me say first of all that I am on a strict budget. My computer is not an optimum machine for recording purposes. Decent soundcard (Audigy 2), but I'm sure it's not up to the task of direct recording, nor would the rest of my system be able to handle it well enough. My question is could I feasibly record a completely dry/naked guitar track to a recording unit (I have a Fostex MR-16), then import that dry signal to software such as sonar or cubase while running a plugin like Amplitube for desired results? I'm still fairly new to the recording process and would appreciate any help that can be given.
