Ampeg VH140C head for Death Metal?

I have been reading a lot about the Ampeg VH140C head for Death Metal. Anyone use one or have used on in the past for Death Metal?

Head with Cab or Combo alone?


Anyone know where I can get one?

hey there i have a ampeg vh140c ........ great head lots of power i run mine through a crate cab w/ 4 g12"s ..... the only problem i had w/ it was when it was cutting out ...... it turned out to be cracked solder joints .... $35 to fix it ...... i think on chanel 1 w/ the mids turned down and the gain up you could get some great death metal tone ......... :cool:
 
Ah, I was wondering why you made such a specific request on NCMusic. Don't really know about the amp, but a stack will almost always feel/be much louder and heavier (literally and figuratively).
